Wenatchee High School Mariachi Huenachi to take Center Stage at the world famous Orcas Center in the San Juan Islands

Wenatchee High School Mariachi Huenachi will be performing at the world famous Orcas Center in the San Juan Islands. The award-winning high school group, Mariachi Huenachi from Wenatchee, gears up for their second concert at the Orcas Center in the San Juan Islands. The group is back by popular demand following a fun, lively, sold-out show in 2009. Last year Mariachi Huenachi performed at over 40 events and festivals including the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Sounders and Chivas de Guadalajara games, Washington State University, University of Idaho, Orcas Island, Space Needle, Folklife Festival, EMP, Forks High School (Home of  Twilight) and for Governor Chris Gregoire. In summer of 2009, Mariachi Huenachi shared the stage with the renowned and Grammy Award winning group Los Tigres Del Norte.

The Wenatchee School District’s Mariachi Program has over 300 students district wide. Mariachi Huenachi is the advanced mariachi music class at Wenatchee High School and has earned a reputation as the best high school mariachi group in the State of Washington.
